2012 was the last time metal concerts were a welcome form of entertainment at Six Flags Great Adventure, purportedly thanks to the actions of Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke.
Back in October 2012, The Hollywood Reporter reported that Radke injured two show goers after hurling three microphone stands off the stage. Watch the incident unfold in the fan-shot YouTube video below:
As you can see in the video above, Radke performed shirtless for the band’s final song of their set, ‘The Drug In Me Is You’. It’s still unclear what motivated the Falling In Reverse frontman to throw the stands into the crowd.
According to this Note to Scene article, he’s never apologised for the incident.

Radke’s actions injured two guests at the park’s ‘FestEvil’, which also featured We Came As Romans, Norma Jean, Texas in July among others. The victims included a 16-year-old girl, who suffered a two-to-three inch cut on the top of her head and bruising on forehead, police said. The other victim was a 24-year-old man.
Radke revealed last January (via Twitter) that then 16-year-old girl received substantial compensation for her injuries – “almost a million dollars for a tiny ass cut”.

Following the incident, Radke was arrested for simple assault and aggravated assault. He was released on $25,000 bail.
Here’s what Kristin Siebeneicher, spokeswoman for Six Flags Great Adventure at the time, had to say about the incident:
“This was the first metal show that we’ve ever had, and will be the last. We have no plans to host another metal show. This performer was completely reckless, he had complete disregard for the safety of his fans. His actions were totally unacceptable. It’s not the type of entertainment that we want to be producing.”
