Yesterday, rapper Playboi Carti launched his new Whole Lotta Red merchandise line, which featured metal imagery with upside-down crosses and sinister looking images.
One particular item of the rapper’s merch caught the eye of Falling in Reverse vocalist Ronnie Radke, who called out the rapper for using the band’s name in the imagery of one of the t-shirts.
Initially, the Falling In Reverse frontman reached out on social media using Instagram stories feature of his Instagram account to accuse the rapper of stealing without gaining permission for usage of the name. Read what Radke posted below:
Predictably, fans of Playboi Carti tried to support the rapper online with Radke conversing with some in the comments of posts. Whilst some asked who Radke was, the Falling in Reverse frontman told them about his chart-topping song ‘Popular Monster’.
When another fan of the rapper asked if he owned the name, Radke stated the following:
“Yes. My band. We sold millions of albums. Lmfao. You don’t gotta know who we are but this dude for sure does.”
According to Twitter user Scene Facts (@scene_facts), there’s no trademark registered under ‘Falling in Reverse’.
