Even though Hayley Williams has been going solo this year, releasing her debut album ‘Petals For Armor’, fans are starting to speculate that Williams has been working on new Paramore music with Zac Farro and Taylor York behind the scenes as well.
The band took to Twitter to suggest that the follow-up to their 2017 record ‘After Laughter’ could very much be in the works, joking that they don’t want their fans woken up “just yet”.
Let’s start from the beginning! This all began thanks to Taylor Swift releasing a surprise new album titled ‘Evermore’ last week. After the release of the record, Jimmy Fallon joked on The Tonight Show that Swift keeps releasing albums.
Having received “notifications” of more new Swift albums with similar titles to ‘Evermore’ and ‘Folklore’, Fallon then says that Paramore have released a new album titled Taylor Swift. You can read what he said below:
“Wait, Paramore just released an album called Taylor Swift. It came full circle.”
Retweeting the clip, Paramore posted the following on Twitter:
“Jimmy, don’t wake the pmore stans just yet.”
These eight words sent the band’s entire fanbase into a crazy over the final two words of their post – “just yet”. This has to mean something right?
Williams reiterated that that her solo project did not mean the end of Paramore. You can read what she said below:
“I can’t deny there are frontwomen in history who went solo and didn’t go back, so that’s where I have to trust that the band knows I’m not looking for greener grass.”
