According to multiple reports, Trapt’s official Twitter account has been suspended by the social media platform for violating the service’s rules.
ThePRP reports that the account was run by the band’s frontman Chris Taylor Brown, who had became increasingly unhinged throughout this year. Brown would use the band’s Twitter account to frequently defend his political and personal beliefs – supporting right-wing politics and some other controversial opinions.
Trapt’s official Facebook page was deleted in November this year for violating the platform’s community standards. Soon after the page was deleted, Brown’s personal Instagram account was taken down.
Multiple outlets suggest that suspension of the band’s Twitter account comes after a series of comments (and arguments) with several of the platform’s users in regards to his thoughts on is what constitutes paedophilia/statutory rape in a relationship between a 15-year-old male student and a 25-year-old teacher.
