Blink-182’s album titles are so classic to this day that it would near-on impossible referring to them as anything else. However Tom DeLonge recently revealed via Twitter that one record almost had a very different title. Here’s what DeLonge posted:
“True Story: Vasectomy Vasecta-you was once a title option for a blink-182 album”
Whilst DeLonge didn’t reveal which album almost had this title, a Billboard Interview in 2003 suggests to us that it was an option for Blink-182’s incredible ‘Untitled’ record.
During the same 2003 interview, DeLonge revealed the band have come up with some other (rejected) album titles ‘Diarrhea de Janeiro’ and ‘Our Pet Sounds’. Interesting titles to say the least…
Fans on the Blink-182 reddit have been discussing what record DeLonge was referring to with Vasectomy Vasecta-you, one Reddit user (@CBobRobinson) believes it might have been for ‘Take Off Your Pants And Jacket’.
Given the previous title for that album was ‘Sodomy, Sodom-you’…Thank the pop punk gods they never went with that option!
